If your point of posting about him isn't to convince other civies to vote for him, then I'm not sure what their purpose is. My point is only to let you know that they are not succeeding in convincing me that he is almost definitely guilty; so perhaps you might want to change your tactic from "I'm Bree and I say he's bad, therefore he's bad."

My role has no visible effects to game happenings. I don't need to send in PMs or anything like that, it's very passive. I can think of only one way to prove it, but I would pretty much have to out myself and also relies on someone else who I'm not entirely sure I trust.

Well, I'm not really sure about anyone's safety (except you). 2nd behind DD would probably be MP.

I think there have to be secret roles, given the nature of the game...I doubt at this point there are vanillas, and not everyone can be part of the Abom team, otherwise it would be too many people on that list. Logic says, at this point, that there has been/is civie secret roles (and possibly other teams). I think SVS thought that, as well, based on her posts.

So, Bree...if you don't believe there are secret roles, do you believe that all of the unknown numbers are on team ABom? Or do you think there are still Vanilla Civs? I can't see the numbers working any other way...but if there's another option, enlighten me, please.

That being said, I expected Bleag to post that...as it would have been too risky for him to claim a role. But now I'm not sure what to make of it. If he's the Seemer he can determine how he turns up. So I wonder if he can give us some sort of evidence of him being good...otherwise, I remain convinced he's evul.

Evidence that I'm good? Well, my power is just one of observation. All it does is give one civvie (me) slightly more information than is in the thread. Most of the info I've recieved has ended up in the thread anyway. To tell what kind of info I get would be revealing pretty much everything about my role.

Based on my own knowledge and listed roles, there have to be either a couple of secret roles OR a couple of players who are still vanilla. ABom is the only team that we know doesn't list the roles. I'd like to think there are also civie roles that are not listed, although I'm not sure about that. There could also be unlisted roles on the other baddie teams, yes. But if that's true, then I think it only increases the chances that there are/were secret civie roles.

Hmmmm...I was actually just going with living players, but yeah...basically what you said. And I picked ABom because we already know those roles aren't listed and Civie because of hope.

I'm wary of your case against DD...at this point, I think he's a civie and Sparrow went after him hard, which makes me wary of others continuing to go after him. Can you review what your case against him was

And I wonder about what your power could be...can you share some of the information that you've known? I don't want you to completely out your role, but some information would be helpful...has your role told you anything about DD? About other living players?!

I don't think the roles are replaced by vanillas, other than those roles that it specifies are replaced (basically the head roles on the teams). Actually, based on my pre-rez role, I'm pretty sure of that, since I know that role no longer exists. Given the current numbers, there are either vanillas, or people with roles that aren't listed. I'm leaning towards the latter.

I'm not sure what you mean by several players to one role. I can tell you that when I died with my original role, and later rezzed as a van civ, my original role ceased to exist.

That's really all I'm saying.

^^^ This is my take on Bleag's secret role claim. Way too big a risk to claim a known role so making us wonder if their are secret civvie roles is a great stalling tactic. I still believe 100% that DC was the Seemer (Seemer had to be one of the EE afterall) and made up as civvie a sounding role as he could for the same reasons Bleag is claiming to be a secret civvie role now...to give us doubt. Don't forget there is still a secret role listed under the OD team as well that we have not seen lynched so I am going to assume they are still alive. Coupled with what I learnt a few days back about a role being able to redirect actions (wasn't told the role's team, but the role name is The Interceptor which kind of sounds like it could be that OD role).

I think this is just Bleag's last ditch effort to save himself from a lynch today. With the numbers getting so low we must surely be close to eradicating a baddie team or two and if Bleag is last on his team of course he would fight as hard as he could to stay alive.

I believe that option 2 is the most likely answer here. We know that Archangel is in at least his third incarnation (could be more), so no reason to think some of the baddie roles haven't gone through more than 1 player so far. The team structres seem to be 5 per baddie team, 8 civvies, the Ambassador and the rest vanilla civs that have cycled through those roles. There may be a slim chance we have 1, maybe 2 max, vanilla civvies left that have eluded recruitment, but I personally think everyone now has a role. Some players would have been recruited into vacated roles, there has to be 1 more role on Abe's team and the OD team also still has an unkown role. I think worse case scenario is we have equal numbers of civvies and baddies left, but if my knowledge and calculations are correct, there is a max of 6 civvie roles left. Having a good (but not absolute) idea of who has these roles leads me to the conclusion that there is no way Bleag could be civvie (and I don't buy his secert civvie claim one bit).

linkitis @ LoRab. I do agree that certain roles cannot be replaced once dead. I've a good idea what your original role was and it makes sense that that role wouldn't be replaced. But as I said we're upto Archie 3.0 at least, and I believe the hosts have confirmed that the baddie killing roles keep getting replaced until there is no one left to replace them. Not sure if same goes for baddie team leaders, but I am assuming they would have similar conditions to Archangel and would keep being replaced until the vanilla civvie pool dried up. Short of there being a vanilla or two left, I am confident we all have roles now and the sheer volume and potential for replacing people into roles means there really isn't much wiggle room for secret civvie roles.

Okay, I was beginning to doubt myself a bit, but ... nah. Nah. I'm confident there are't any civvie secret roles.

It doesn't make sense for there to be secret roles on the civvie team. It just doesn't match the game's pattern. And no one respond with the "but it's a long rock game!!!!!111!111one!1" bullshit.

The only secretsecret (as in, don't show up at all on the main page) roles belong to the Abomination, I think... the Abomination is so mysterious (as part of the story) that we don't really know anything about him/them. Then the Otherdimensional team has secret roles, but they show up as "Secret!" on the front page. Their roles are in another [alien] language, but we know they're there nevertheless. The Devil's Team has no secret roles, neither does the Holy team. They're from Earth. We know all about the Devil and Angels and blahdity blah blah, so they wouldn't show up as secret.

Why would the Hosts have secret roles on the civvie team, anyway? Why would a civvie role need to be secret? And if it did need to be secret, why wouldn't it show up on the front page as "Secret"?

Maybe bleag does have a secret role (or a dead teammate did). Maybe he's telling the truth about his passive power or.. whatever. But I don't think his role is civvie. Probably the remaining Erlatz role... or one of them.

With the chance to sleep on it a bit, I came to the conclusion I've had all along and voted Bleag. As some of you know, I tend to get angsty and full of self doubt come end game. Also, thanks DD for the logical and thorough post...that helped seal the deal for me.

Was hoping for a lynch post before I needed to step away from the computer...alas.

Popping in while I have 5 minutes. I mentioned this before the game, but I'm going to be a bit in and out the rest of the week...Rosh Hashanah (one of the 2 biggest holidays on the Jewish calendar, the other is Yom Kippur which is next week) starts tonight...so I'm kind of swamped and will have a really odd schedule. Letting you all know. And now I need to get back to polishing my sermon for tonight.

"Calm, my son," said the Priest. "The Lord will show us the way, I have been assured! Come, my brethren, but leave your mob mentality behind! We march forth not in the spirit of anger, malice, and revenge, but to prevent a dangerous being from further harming those we love!"

The congregation marched out, calm and orderly as an army drill team, to where bleag was known to be. They were surprised to see him walking the streets, and quickly formed a wide circle around him. LoRab stepped forward. "bleag, you stand before us as an admitted soldier of the enemy. Your punishment..."

She turned to the Priest. "Really? I mean, this will never-"

The Priest nodded. "Go ahead, my child. The Lord watches over you."

"Your punishment," she continued loudly, "Is immediate execution!" The men and women began to close in on bleag, when suddenly a portal flared to life beside him!

"Oh, see?" began dl15, but the Priest was already in action. Quickly pulling the pin from a hand grenade, he pitched it through the portal just as bleag slipped through and it flashed closed. Astonished jaws hung open as the Priest nodded grimly in satisfaction.

Far above their heads, one of the Otherdimensional ships that had remained a constant reminder of the threat lurched out of its still hover as an explosion blew out its entire left side. The crowd cheered as it plunged, burning, into the lake.

bleag has been lynched. He was the Interceptor.

It is now Night - get yo' groove on!

I actually think it's somewhat coincidence, now that I think about it. Because stlgirl escaped lynching, if you'll recall, which would make her an obvious night target eventually. And bigs and sparrow were killed in a row, which would mean one was killed by baddie Gandalves, and one was killed by Rogue Gandalf. But it is odd.
