Guide

Search within threads

Did you know you can quickly preform searches within the thread you are currently reading? All that you have to do is enter your search term in the box on the top of the thread.

Step 1

If you need to narrow down the results, you can simply enter another search term in the box on top of the results.

Step 2

Alternatively, if you want to search by post author, simply click the "View" link next to their post count.

Alternative

As of right now, this will return all their posts on the entire forum. Search for the name of the Mafia game (see the previous image) to narrow down results to that particular thread. You can even refine your results to specific days or nights, if the host has rememebered to change the topic appropriately. For example, you'd click the "View" link and then search for "Lost Redux [Night 1]" to show all posts of that author during the first night.

Multi-quote

Multi-quoting is easy! Here is how to do it:

First, you'll want to go to the post we want to quote. Then check off the box to the right of the "Quote" icon.

Step 1

Continue to check off messages until you have all that you want to quote. Once you've done that, scroll to the Quick Reply on the bottom of the thread and check the "Quote Selected" box.

Step 2

Keep in mind that unfortunately, the multi-quote function does not "rememeber" posts you have checked off on a different page. Should you require quoting posts across multiple pages, you will have to check the "Quote Selected" box on each page. Cut and paste the quotes into the next page's Quick Reply. Repeat as necessary. I recommend pasting into a text editor, just to be safe. That way, if your browser crashes you won't have to start over.

Done.
